The Race in Sports episode of HBO Sports' Got No Game with Paul Mecurio has been watched over 27,000 times on YouTube as of today! In the video, Paul looks at why some races seem to dominate certain sports in this recently unearthed archival film which reveals how race and sports play out in today's society. The episode features a special appearance by sportscaster and former tennis champion Mary Carillo.

Pass this video along to all your friends!
They won't think you're a racist, I promise. The fan's comments on YouTube have been great...

SlayTanicTrooper
(great username, bud) writes, "I want to be offended, but, I was too busy laughing at it to care." Ditto. Let's see how many more views we can get in the next couple of weeks! It's a race to the top.

PS: Everyone wants luge, but you won't understand that until you watch the video!

Congrats to David and Anja! See you at Gotham Comedy Club in NY this weekend!

Congrats to David and Anja for winning tickets to see my show at Gotham Comedy Club in New York this weekend! For the contest, I asked fans to write about the craziest person/thing/experience they have ever met/seen/had in New York City in 1-sentence. The most amusing/outlandish/disgusting answers win. Here are the winning answers:

David - "I watched 2 homeless people filling their grocery carts with prosthetic legs and arms that were piled up in a dumpster on Ninth Ave near 27th Street - talk about recycling! (This still disturbs me!)"

Anja - "I've been offered free devil lessons by a classically trained fallen angel in a Brooklyn bar."

Anja, I wonder what is included in these so-called devil lessons, next time take the bait! If you're in New York, be sure to check me out. I'll be at Gotham October 9-10. Visit gothamcomedyclub.com for tickets or read more about the shows on my site. - Paul

Listen to my full Image Makeover about the Health Care Industry from  The Bob & Tom Radio Show. Guess what?!? I solved the problem! Yes, I have all the answers - ok, some of the answers - ok, NONE of the answers - but the makeover is funny, just like someone being refused life-saving treatment due to a pre-existing condition... Have a listen on the site or download an MP3! - Paul

The Love of a Good Mascot on Got No Game with Paul Mecurio

The latest episode of Got No Game with Paul Mecurio takes a good hard look at the instant replay and sports mascots. There are some things few fans have ever seen in the sports world.  A reasonably priced ticket, a normal-sized ego and believable steroids testimony.  But technology has brought many exciting changes to sports.  Instant replay.  The telestrator. Slo-mo. And my favorite, phone cameras catching couples having sex in the nosebleeds. Of all of them, replay is the most mysterious.  What happens when the ref goes into the replay booth?  Nobody has ever seen the inside of the booth. But there are legends – tales told ‘round the campfire – of a magical booth. With replays, a small space heater, and where team mascots spend their spare time. Watch the video below to find out more.

New episodes of Got No Game with Paul Mecurio will post each Friday through September 4. Visit www.hbo.com/gotnogame for updates!
