I was on the Bob and Tom Radio Show Wednesday, January 27th and the folks over at the WGN network were kind enough to post a piece I did on the upcoming winter Olympics. Hope you enjoy!!

Pass this video along to all your friends! They won't think you're a racist, I promise. The fan's comments on YouTube have been great...
SlayTanicTrooper (great username, bud) writes, "I want to be offended, but, I was too busy laughing at it to care." Ditto. Let's see how many more views we can get in the next couple of weeks! It's a race to the top.
PS: Everyone wants luge, but you won't understand that until you watch the video!
I had the opportunity to sit down with the one and only Bob Costas, one of the greatest sportscasters of all time. You'll never think of an *asterisk* in the same way again. - Paul

Punchline Magazine just posted my video interview with Bob
Costas, with a little explanation about why I am wearing a giant
asterisk suit (for you non-sports fans who need a little schooling
about the world of sports). Says Punchline:
"What’s funny — not that we want to tell you what’s funny or not — is
that Mecurio was outfitted and spoke as a giant asterisk, the symbol
that has adorned sports stats in recent years, signifying that a
player’s stats are accurate, but with huge exceptions. For example,
Rusty McPissypants hit 96 home runs in 2008*… but he did so using an
illegal bat while high on performance-enhancing goofballs while
taunting the plate umpire or whatever. Get it? Awesome. Now, feel free
to watch the video we so verbosely explained."
The latest episode of Got No Game with Paul Mecurio takes a good hard look at the instant replay and sports mascots. There are some things few fans have ever seen in the sports
world.A reasonably priced ticket,
a normal-sized ego and believable steroids testimony. But technology has brought many exciting changes to
sports.Instant replay. The telestrator. Slo-mo. And my favorite, phone cameras catching couples having sex
in the nosebleeds. Of all of them, replay is the most mysterious. What happens when the ref goes into the
replay booth?Nobody has ever seen the inside of the booth. But
there are legends – tales told ‘round the campfire – of a magical booth. With
replays, a small space heater, and where team mascots spend their spare time. Watch the video below to find out more.

We shot this episode of Got No Game with Paul Mecurioabout race in sports at the The Bronx Community College in New York City. The building was fantastic (take a look at the picture below). The amazing part is the place is still staffed with the original librarians. I had a great time with all the actors, the crew and the writers and my family who got to join me on the set, and it was a really cool experience to get to work with Mary Carillo who makes a cameo appearance in the episode. Check out a few photos from the shoot below and stay tuned for more behind the scenes pics. - Paul
This is a wide shot of the entire set and shoot from the 3rd level of this stunning 150-year old library. A good vantage point to egg people. I'm just saying.
Me with tennis champion and HBO Sports correspondent Mary Carillo on set. Mary played herself in the piece. We're in our 1950s costume. We make a good looking couple. Don't you think? Her hair is taller then me!
On set with my son Alex. Doesn't get much better than this. A quick break then my son had to get back to work holding my tumbler of scotch just out of camera range. Child labor laws don't apply on my shoots. PS: Pay no mind to the desk nameplate, it was part of the shoot!
